  • Born in Prakasam District, Koppolu Village, 1950, Schooling in Prakasam District, Medical Education in Guntur and All India Institute of Medical sciences, Delhi.
  • Worked in New Zealand and England 1981-1985, Heart Surgery
  • Trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, fellowship at Greenlane Hospital, New zealand (Sir Brian Baratt-Boyes) and Freeman Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England
  • Formerly Professor of cardithoracic Surgery at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences, Teacher and Examiner for M.Ch Cardiothoracic Surgery and DNB Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Associated with first coronary bypass surgery in Andhra Pradesh state and actively promoted development of Cardiac surgical procedures and centres in the state especially coronary artery bypass grafting.
  • Significant publication in NEJM and Circulation, management of mitral stenosis- baloon mitral valvotomy vs closed mitral valvotomy and open mitral valvotomy. Presently active Cardiac Surgeon.
